The San Antonio Society of Architects resolved to ask city officals to remove all billboards from city streets.

1956
The 15-minute Huntley-Brinkley Report, NBC’s flagship news report, debuted on WOAI Channel 4.  It replaces the Camel News Caravan, hosted by John Cameron Swayze.  The program would be hosted by these two until July 31, 1970, when Chet Huntley retired.

1994
Texas A&M (7-0) and SMU (1-7) play a wild game in the Alamodome, ending in a 21-21 tie after a last-second missed field goal by the Mustangs.
