May 2 in San Antonio history…

The San Antonio Street Railway Company is chartered and inaugurated.

The chapel at the Concepcion Mission, as repaired, is rededicated to our Lady of Lourdes by Bishop Neraz.

When Homer Brooks, state secretary for the Communist Party, attempted to speak at a party rally in Haymarket Plaza, he was drowned out by the crowd singing The Eyes of Texas.
