The corner stone of the additional infirmary at Santa Rosa Hospital is laid.

1968
The restaurant in the Tower of the Americas opens to the public serving themed dishes, such as: “Our Original Tower Salad”, “Fruit Plate Rio Grande” and “Coupe of the Americas.”

1993
The East Stage of La Semana Alegre features Napoleon Machine Gun, Ozz Knozz, Mark Farner (from Grand Funk), and… Spinal Tap (right).  This is the first year for La Semana Alegre to be held on the Coliseum grounds.
