March 15 in San Antonio history…

Technicolor films of trips through Guatemala and the Azalea Trail made by Miss Emilie Netter of the San Antonio Public Library will be shown by her in the ballroom of the Gunter Hotel this evening.  A small admission fee will be charged and will be used for a state survey of library service in Texas.

The San Antonio Light showcased two GM electric cars on exhibit in the Anacacho Room of the St. Anthony Hotel, one called the PRT and the other called the BTV (Basic Transportation Vehicle) shown at right.
(The car shown in the photo was designed in 1969 and named the XP-512E.)

The Black Crowes make their first appearance in San Antonio, at Sneakers, in support of their newly-released Shake Your Money Maker album.
