World War I – 1915
“The great German offensive in the east is shown in the latest official reports to seriously threatening the Russian possession of Warsaw. Evacuation of the Polish capital cannot be far distant, in the opinion of many military observers, as from both the north and the south Teutonic pressure is being exerted with seemingly irresistible force,” the San Antonio Light reports from London.

As people await tomorrow’s 1 a.m. moon walk and Monday’s Moon Day holiday, they are stunned by the story of an automobile accident on Martha’s Vineyard involving U.S. Senator Edward Kennedy and the death of his secretary, Mary Jo Kopechne.

Martha Alicia De La Rosa is the first person transported by MAST helicopter to Santa Rosa Hospital.
