July 12 in San Antonio history…

World War I – 1915
The Russians have begun fortifying their border with Rumania.  There are rumors that the Balkan state may come to the aid of Austria-Hungary.

1911
Lt. Benjamin D. Foulois, Signal Corps, has been ordered from San Antonio to Washington for work in connection with the aero squadron. It is his opinion that the aeroplane will be left here and another army aviator will be ordered here.

1973
The historic classes that began six weeks ago at UTSA ended today as the graduate students completed the first final examinations given at the school.  The second six-week term begins Monday (July 16).
