The Congregation of Temple Beth-El is issued a permit to erect a synagogue on Travis St. to cost $35,000.

1956
Trustees of the San Antonio School District are expected to authorize the drawing of plans for a new Edison High School. The school is to have a capacity of 1,200 students.

Frost Bros. introduces a charge card and a computerized billing system.
