San Antonio Public Library to host Life after Combat: I Always Sit with My Back to the Wall
The San Antonio Public Library will continue its Life After Combat mental health series for military veterans on January 5, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00pm at the Central Library Auditorium, 600 Soledad 78205. Presented by noted psychiatrist, Dr. Harry Croft, the program will discuss many of the issues connected to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and combat trauma as well as some of the ways in which veterans can deal with these issues through the R-E-C-O-V-E-R approach, detailed in his book, I Always Sit with My Back to the Wall. Written for PTSD sufferers and their families, the book was co-authored by trauma therapist, Rev. Dr. Chrys Parker, J.D. The Life After Combat series takes place the first Saturday of the month at the Central Library. Times may vary.
