1929
The Zoological Board, meeting in executive session with the mayor and city commissioners, votes to use all revenue from concession stands in the San Antonio Zoo area to purchase new animals. Among the concessions that the board will lease will be peanut and popcorn stands, soda water stands, and hot dog counters.
1974
The University of Texas System regents vote to name the UTSA library and administration building for John Peace, the late San Antonio attorney.
