1900
San Antonio has at last been placed on the list of Andrew Carnegie and will get $50,000 for a new library.

1930
A midnight curfew in San Antonio was proclaimed by the fire and police commissioner as a means of curbing the growing number of holdups and burglaries. Police were instructed to question all persons found abroad after that hour.

1950
San Antonio’s second television station, KEYL, was to go on the air with its first test pattern, broadcasting in Channel 5, at noon today. The station is operated by the San Antonio Television Company.
