Navigating the VA Heart of Texas Healthcare Network – 2/2/13

Join us on Saturday, February 2 at 2:00 pm at the Central Library, 600 Soledad Street, for the next session of our Life After Combat mental health series.

Military veterans have access to far more benefits and services than they may know. Discounted mortgages, land purchasing discounts, employment priority, vocational counseling, grave markers, pensions, tax exemptions, tuition and fees waivers, free access to parks, mobility devices and medical records–all are state and federal benefits available to eligible veterans and immediate family.

Life Coach Sophie Parazo, a former Air Force veteran serving as the VISN 17 Network Director’s Veteran Advocate, works on behalf of and with veterans and their families regarding benefits, entitlements, and eligibility.

This program is a collaboration between the San Antonio Public Library and the San Antonio Coalition for Veterans.
