1917
Thirteen Negro soldiers of the 24th Infantry Regiment found guilty of complicity in a riot and mutiny at Houston were hanged on the military reservation at Ft. Sam Houston at 7:17 a.m. yesterday. Announcement of the hangings, largest wholesale execution in memory, was made two hours later.
1969
Fleetwood Mac makes their first appearance in San Antonio at Municipal Auditorium, second on the bill behind Jethro Tull. The Flock opens the show.
1976
Most San Antonio Catholics celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on the 445th anniversary of the appearance of the Blessed Virgin to the Indian peasant Juan Diego.
