Parks Commissioner Henry Hein, criticizing the San Antonio Health Department, said that swimming pools should be cleaned when they are dirty. He protested the use of expensive chlorine to kill germs.
1950
Plans for San Antonio’s first multi-story open-sided parking station were being formed today by a group of businessmen. A site has been acquired by the group on W. Travis and Soledad.
1955
Count Basie & His Orchestra, The George Shearing Quintet, Ruth Brown, T-Bone Walker, The Jacks, The Orioles, and Joe Williams play a concert in Municipal Auditorium
