1835
Battle of Concepcion between Fannin’s force of 90 Texans and the Mexican troops from San Antonio, under General Cos. The Mexican forces are driven back to the city. Richard Andrews is killed, the first in the campaign.

1925
Mayor Tobin was informed of the proposed building of the $1 million hotel at the corner of St. Mary’s and Villita Streets.

1975
The rock band Rush plays their first concert in San Antonio at Randy’s Rodeo. Local band Heyoka opens the show.
