September 11 in San Antonio history…

1901
A post office has been established at Saspamco, Wilson County, with George J. Ball as postmaster.

1934
The first F.H.A. loan was made in San Antonio with the federal government co-signing the note of E.K. Aszmann, 313 Regina.  The loan was for remodeling a bathroom.

2001
San Antonians, shocked by the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington D.C., unite to pray, donate blood and help out in this time of crisis.
