1900
Deputy Sheriff Jim Caruthers and Policeman Flaherty arrested five small boys for bathing in the river.  The chief offense was that they wore no bathing suits.  After a lecture, they were released.

1936
Violators of the new parking meter ordinance will be allowed to pay a $1 fine if they do so within 18 hours.  After that, the fine will probably be more.

1947
Door mail deliveries will be extended to 2,094 homes in San Antonio and vicinity in the next few weeks, Postmaster Dan J. Quill has announced.
