Members of the Alamo Wheelmen captured first honors in established a record in the five-mile event at the state bicycle races at Waco.

Bruno Busch, a farmer on Palo Alto Road, killed a seven-foot alligator, thus clearing the mystery of the disappearance of young pigs from his farm.

1963
The City Planning Commission detailed plans for a traffic loop encircling the central business district of San Antonio and an outer loop encircling the county.
